Sucee Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) such as excessive hair growth (hirsutism), acne, and irregular periods. It also works as a contraceptive, hence avoid using any other contraceptive pill.
Sucee Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines: Cyproterone and Ethinyl Estradiol which treats PCOS symptoms such as acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism) and irregular periods. Cyproterone works by blocking the overproduction of androgens (male hormones) in the ovaries, thereby reducing unwanted hair growth and acne. Ethinyl Estradiol enhances the effect of Cyproterone by reducing the amount of androgens in the blood. Together, they also regularize the menstrual cycle in PCOS.
What is Sucee Tablet?
Sucee Tablet contains Cyproterone and Ethinyl Estradiol, both hormonal medicines. It treats Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) symptoms such as acne, excessive hair growth (hirsutism), and irregular periods. Cyproterone reduces androgen production in the ovaries, reducing unwanted hair growth and acne. Ethinyl Estradiol enhances the effect of Cyproterone by lowering androgen levels in the bloodstream.
How and in what dose should I take Sucee Tablet?
Start taking Sucee Tablet on day 1 or 2 of your menstrual cycle. Your doctor will advise you on the duration to take the tablets. It's important to take them at the same time each day for consistent medicine levels.
What if I miss a dose of Sucee Tablet?
If you miss a dose, it's best to take it as soon as possible. If missed by more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosage schedule. However, for prevention of pregnancy, use a non-hormonal contraceptive method (like condoms) during this cycle. Frequent missing doses may cause unexpected vaginal bleeding or spotting. Seek medical advice if these symptoms last longer.
What if I vomit after taking Sucee Tablet?
If you experience vomiting within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, repeat the dose.
Does Sucee Tablet act as a contraceptive too?
Yes, Sucee Tablet is an effective contraceptive if taken correctly. Do not use any other birth control pill along with Sucee Tablet.
What are the common side effects of taking Sucee Tablet?
Common side effects associated with Sucee Tablet include nausea, stomach pain, increased weight, headache, altered mood, and breast pain. These symptoms usually subside within a short time. If they persist, consult your doctor as soon as possible.
How long will Sucee Tablet take to reduce acne?

- Take your pill at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.
- Do not use Sucee Tablet if you are obese, over 50, smoke, on prolonged bed rest or have a history of blood clots.
- Stop taking it and inform your doctor if you notice unexplained swelling and pain in your limbs, shortness of breath, chest pain or changes in vision.
- You may experience vaginal spotting (blood stain) or breakthrough bleeding while taking Sucee Tablet. This is temporary, inform your doctor if it lasts longer.
- If your period fails to come within a week after completing your course, do not start the next course before consulting your doctor.
- It works as a contraceptive. So, do not use any additional hormonal contraceptives when using this medicine.
Alcohol
Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with Sucee Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Sucee Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Sucee Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby.
