How it works

Shellgel Softgel Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Calcitriol, Calcium Carbonate and Zinc Sulfate which treat osteoporosis. Calcitriol helps your body effectively absorb Calcium Carbonate and additionally supports the muscles needed to avoid falls. Calcium Carbonate and Zinc Sulfate help build and maintain bones.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Shellgel Softgel Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

• Shellgel Softgel Capsule is used in the treatment of calcium deficiency.
• Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or if you have ever had kidney stones.
• Let your doctor know if you are taking any other medications like for bone disorders, antihypertensives, antibiotics, antacids, other calcium supplements or medicines for heart disease.
• Inform your doctor if you are taking an iron supplement as the absorption rate might be affected.
• Include calcium-rich food in your diet like milk, cheese, yogurt, calcium-fortified soya milk, and green leafy vegetables like spinach.
