Serjet 50mg Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant used to treat depression, anxiety-related conditions like obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder. Serjet 50mg Tablet may also be used to treat premenstrual dysphoric disorder (depression and irritability before menstrual period in women). It can be taken with or without food. The dose and how often you need it will be decided by your doctor so that you get the right amount to control your symptoms.
Serjet 50mg Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms of depression and also relieves symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and anxiety.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Serjet 50mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Serjet 50mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Serjet 50mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Serjet 50mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you.
