Seleno Gel is a combination of two medicines used to treat mouth ulcers, reducing pain, swelling, redness, and burning sensation. Seleno Gel should be used as directed by your doctor and use it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Apply it only in the mouth with clean hands. Do not use it more than the recommended dose. This medicine is generally safe and does not cause any side effects. However, if you experience any allergic reactions such as itching, swelling, rashes, etc., you should consult the doctor immediately.
Seleno Gel is a combination of two medicines: Choline Salicylate and Lidocaine. Choline Salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain which decreases the pain sensation.
Can I eat after taking Choline Seleno Gel?
It is recommended to wait for at least one hour after taking Seleno Gel before consuming food, as this medication may temporarily affect your ability to swallow.
How should I store and dispose of Seleno Gel?
To ensure the proper storage and disposal of Seleno Gel, follow these guidelines: store the medication in its original container, tightly closed, and follow the storage instructions provided on the packaging or label. Dispose of any unused medication to prevent accidental ingestion by pets, children, or other individuals.
