Saltopic Ointment is a prescription medicine used to treat eczema and psoriasis, providing relief from redness, itching, and swelling. Saltopic Ointment is a combination of Betamethasone and Salicylic Acid used to treat eczema and psoriasis. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is for external use only. Do not use this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you have known allergies from this medicine. The common side effects of this medicine include burning, itching, irritation, and redness at the application site.
Saltopic Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Betamethasone and Salicylic Acid. Betamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which breaks down keratin clumps, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It also enhances the absorption of Betamethasone into the skin.
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment.
