It is used to lower the levels of lipids known as cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood when lifestyle changes (eg. low-fat diet) on their own have failed. This medicine helps to reduce the risk of heart disease.
Rosuday-F 20 Tablet is a combination of two lipid-lowering medicines: Fenofibrate and Rosuvastatin. Fenofibrate works by lowering the levels of triglycerides in your blood while Rosuvastatin prevents your body from making 'bad' cholesterol (LDL). Both raise the levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
Can the use of Rosuday-F 20 Tablet cause liver damage?
Rosuday-F 20 Tablet contains Rosuvastatin and Fenofibrate. Rarely, a very small percentage of patients (1 in 10000) may experience liver damage while taking this medication. Patients with pre-existing liver disease should avoid using Rosuday-F 20 Tablet. If you notice early signs or symptoms of liver damage like fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, or abnormal liver enzymes, consult your doctor immediately.
