Rispersys TH 4mg/2mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of schizophrenia by modulating the action of certain chemical messengers in the brain. Rispersys TH 4mg/2mg Tablet is taken with or without food, preferably at night. It is advised to take it at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not stop this medicine suddenly without talking to the doctor as it may worsen your symptoms. Some common side effects include nausea, constipation, and dryness in the mouth. Initially, this medicine may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure when changing positions, so rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down. It also causes dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. This medicine may increase your weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol, but modifying your lifestyle by having a healthy diet and exercising regularly can reduce this side effect. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
Rispersys TH 4mg/2mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Risperidone and Trihexyphenidyl. Risperidone is an atypical antipsychotic that balances the levels of chemical messengers (dopamine and serotonin) to improve mood, thoughts, and behavior. Trihexyphenidyl is an anticholinergic that works on the nervous system and corrects some of the chemical imbalances that cause Parkinson's disease and certain side effects occurring during antipsychotic treatment.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Rispersys TH 4mg/2mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
