Rifabiz 200 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infectious diarrhea. Rifabiz 200 Tablet can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
Rifabiz 200 Tablet is an antibiotic. Rifabiz 200 Tablet inhibits the bacteria's ability to make proteins and stops the growth of bacteria that cause infectious diarrhea.
How long should you take Rifabiz 200 Tablet?
The duration for which you may need to take Rifabiz 200 Tablet will depend upon the disease being treated. The dosage and duration of treatment for traveler's diarrhea is usually three days, while for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), it is typically fourteen days. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rifabiz 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- You have been prescribed Rifabiz 200 Tablet for the treatment of infectious diarrhea.
- It should only be taken for a maximum of three days. If your symptoms do not improve after three days, inform your doctor. Do not take a second course of Rifabiz 200 Tablet.
- It may cause reddish discoloration of urine. This is normal and harmless.
- Stop taking Rifabiz 200 Tablet and inform your doctor if your diarrhoea gets worse or starts to contain blood or mucus.
- Finish the full course of the medication even if you feel better. Stopping the course early increases the risk of coming back of the infection.
- Some people may develop side effects like vomiting, headache, constipation, vomiting, fever, abdominal pain, and nausea. These side effects are usually temporary and go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Rifabiz 200 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Rifabiz 200 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy
