Retentio Sterile Eye Drop is a lubricant. It works similar to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
Your doctor has prescribed Retentio Sterile Eye Drop to treat dry eye disease. It stabilizes the natural tear film and maintains necessary lubrication so your eyes don’t get dry and irritated. May require long-term use. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop. Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution of this medicine.
Retentio Sterile Eye Drop is a sterile, ophthalmic solution used to relieve dry eye symptoms. It is intended for the lubrication of eyes and can be helpful in conditions such as insufficient tear production, infrequent blinking, environmental factors like wind or smoke, prolonged screen use, or medical treatments affecting ocular comfort.
Retentio Sterile Eye Drop is effective when used as directed by a healthcare professional. Continued usage even after symptom improvement is recommended to maintain optimal eye lubrication and prevent recurrence. Stopping early may exacerbate the symptoms.
If using for dry eyes, apply 1 or 2 drops into each affected eye as needed. For lubricating soft and rigid gas-permeable lenses, apply 1 to 2 drops in each eye with the lens in place as required or according to your healthcare provider's instructions. Ensure blinking after application.
Retentio Sterile Eye Drop should be avoided by those with known allergies to its ingredients or components. In cases where you are unsure about potential allergy, consulting your healthcare provider is recommended.
Possible adverse reactions may include temporary visual disturbances and eye discharge. Other possible side effects include redness, irritation, burning, discomfort, eyelid swelling, and eye itching. If you experience any of these side effects, consult your healthcare provider immediately.
