Rasalect 0.5 Tablet is a medicine used to treat Parkinson's disease, helping to provide better control of body movements and prevent excessive shaking and stiffness. Rasalect 0.5 Tablet can be taken alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food. However, it is advised to take it at the same time each day as this helps to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. If you have missed a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. You should never skip any doses and try to finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication mustn't be stopped suddenly without talking to your doctor as it can result in confusion, stiff muscles, and a high fever.
Rasalect 0.5 Tablet works by increasing the amount of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movement in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Rasalect 0.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Be cautious while driving or doing anything that requires concentration as Rasalect 0.5 Tablet can make you very sleepy.
- Rasalect 0.5 Tablet can make you dizzy or lightheaded, especially when you suddenly stand up from sitting or laying down.
- Let your doctor know if you are also taking medicines for depression or mood disorders.
- Do not stop taking Rasalect 0.5 Tablet suddenly. Sudden stopping may cause confusion, stiff muscles, and a high fever.
- As a precaution, foods high in tyramine (e.g. aged cheeses, air-dried meat, soy sauce, tap/draft beers, and red wine) should be avoided when taking Rasalect 0.5 Tablet as it may cause an unsafe rise in your blood pressure.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Rasalect 0.5 Tablet.
Breastfeed
Rasalect 0.5 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Rasalect 0.5 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
