Ranbaxy ORS Liquid Orange Flavour is a ready-to-drink product to ensure patient compliance and offer convenience. It should be used with caution in patients with depressed kidney function, severe continuing diarrhea, or other critical fluid losses.
Dextrose or glucose is the primary ingredient of ORS. It eases the absorption of sodium and water in the small intestine. Sodium and potassium are required to replace the essential ions during diarrhea and vomiting. Citrate corrects the excess acid levels that occur because of diarrhea.
