Rafle 200 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat infectious diarrhea. It works by killing and stopping the growth of harmful bacteria in the intestines. Rafle 200 Tablet can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. It should be used in the dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Take it at the same time each day to get the most benefit and you should keep on taking this medicine for as long as you are prescribed. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
Rafle 200 Tablet is an antibiotic. Rafle 200 Tablet inhibits the bacteria's ability to make proteins and stops the growth of bacteria that cause infectious diarrhea.
How long should you take Rafle 200 Tablet?
The duration for which you may need to take Rafle 200 Tablet will depend on your specific condition. If prescribed for traveler's diarrhea, it is usually taken for 3 days. However, the treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) can last from 14 days depending on the severity of symptoms.
Can Rafle 200 Tablet cure IBS?
Rafle 200 Tablet is not a cure for IBS. It is an aid in managing and improving symptoms, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and discomfort. How long does Rafle 200 Tablet take to work for IBS?
Rafle 200 Tablet typically starts showing improvement within 24 to 48 hours. You might notice gradual relief in your symptoms like diarrhea after starting the medication. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment, as this usually lasts up to 2 weeks for IBS. It may provide symptom relief for up to 10 weeks even after stopping the medication.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rafle 200 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- You have been prescribed Rafle 200 Tablet for the treatment of infectious diarrhea.
- It should only be taken for a maximum of three days. If your symptoms do not improve after three days, inform your doctor. Do not take a second course of Rafle 200 Tablet.
- It may cause reddish discoloration of urine. This is normal and harmless.
- Stop taking Rafle 200 Tablet and inform your doctor if your diarrhoea gets worse or starts to contain blood or mucus.
- Finish the full course of the medication even if you feel better. Stopping the course early increases the risk of coming back of the infection.
Alcohol
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Rafle 200 Tablet. Please consult your doctor.
Breastfeed
Rafle 200 Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy
