What are the signs and symptoms of malaria?
Some children may experience irritability, drowsiness, poor appetite, and trouble sleeping during early stages of infection. Typical malarial signs and symptoms usually begin within a few weeks after being bitten by an infected mosquito. These typically start with shivering followed by chills, which are then accompanied by high fever. This is then followed by sweating and return to normal temperature. The fever may either gradually rise over 1-2 days or spike very suddenly to 105°F (40.6°C) or higher.

No, do not give Quinaprim 2.5mg Tablet to your child if he or she has G-6-PD deficiency as there is a risk of severe adverse reactions such as hemolytic anemia.
