Piflan 30mg Capsule reduces stomach acid production and treats acid-related diseases such as acid reflux and peptic ulcer disease. Piflan 30mg Capsule is used to prevent and treat stomach ulcers and acidity, especially those caused by prolonged use of painkillers. It belongs to the proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) class and should be taken one hour before a meal, preferably in the morning. The dosage depends on the underlying condition and response to the medicine. Common side effects include nausea, headache, flatulence, and diarrhea. Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures. Consult your doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking HIV medicines, have had allergic reactions to similar medicines, or suffer from osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.

Piflan 30mg Capsule granules should be mixed with apple juice in a syringe and administered directly into the stomach via a nasogastric (NG) tube. After administration, flush the NG tube with more apple juice to clear it.
When should Piflan 30mg Capsule be taken?
Piflan 30mg Capsule is usually taken once daily in the morning on an empty stomach. If taking twice a day, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening, at least 1 hour before a meal with some water.
What foods should be avoided while taking Piflan 30mg Capsule?
It's recommended to avoid foods that can trigger acidity and heartburn, such as fried or spicy food, butter, oil, juices from citrus fruits like lemon water or orange juice, caffeinated drinks, and alcohol.
Is Piflan 30mg Capsule used for children?
Yes, Piflan 30mg Capsule is used to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and erosive gastritis in children aged 1 to 17 years. However, its safety and effectiveness have been established only within this age range.
