Pentraz 40mg Injection is used to treat acid-related diseases of the stomach and intestine, such as acid reflux, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. It belongs to a class of medicines known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This medicine is administered into a vein by a healthcare professional and is typically given when an injection is more suitable than a tablet. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, flatulence, diarrhea, stomach pain, and thrombophlebitis. Long-term use may increase the risk of bone fractures. Consult your doctor if you have severe liver problems, are taking HIV medicines, have had allergic reactions to similar medicines, or suffer from osteoporosis. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before use. Avoid alcohol as it can worsen symptoms.
