Frequently asked questions

What are the possible serious side effects of PD Mox LB Tablet?

While rare, PD Mox LB Tablet may cause serious side effects such as persistent vomiting and kidney damage. Always consult your child's doctor for assistance in these situations.

Can other medicines be taken simultaneously with PD Mox LB Tablet?

PD Mox LB Tablet might interact with other medications or substances. Please inform your doctor of any other medications your child is taking before starting PD Mox LB Tablet.

Can vaccination be done while my child is on treatment for PD Mox LB Tablet?

Antibiotics generally do not interfere with the ingredients in vaccines and do not cause a negative reaction in children who have recently received vaccinations. However, children on antibiotics should not receive vaccines until they fully recover from the illness. After recovery, consult your child's doctor before administering any further medications.

My child has yellow-green mucus coming from their nose. Is this a sign of a bacterial infection?

In common colds, the mucus changes color and thickens over time, but it does not always indicate a need for antibiotics. Most cold symptoms resolve within 7-10 days. If they fail to clear up within that time frame, please consult your child's doctor.

Is PD Mox LB Tablet safe for children with infectious mononucleosis?

No, do not give this medication to your child if they have infectious mononucleosis because a significant percentage of children diagnosed with the condition develop a skin rash while taking PD Mox LB Tablet.
