PCA 10mg Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat heart-related chest pain (angina). PCA 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed whole with water. Take this medicine regularly and at about the same time(s) each day. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take it. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. Do not stop taking it without talking to our doctor as sudden withdrawal may cause your chest pain to come back. You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
PCA 10mg Tablet is a vasodilator. It works by reducing the workload of the heart. As a result, heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply. It also relaxes coronary artery (that carries blood to heart). This reduces the frequency and severity of angina attacks.
What type of medication is PCA 10mg Tablet, and what is it used for?
PCA 10mg Tablet belongs to the class of medications known as potassium channel openers. It helps widen the arteries, reducing the heart's workload and improving blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle. It is prescribed for patients with stable angina (heart-related chest pain) who cannot take other medicines, such as beta-blockers or calcium channel antagonists.
Can I stop taking PCA 10mg Tablet without consulting my doctor?
No, you should not stop taking PCA 10mg Tablet without speaking to your doctor first. Suddenly stopping the medication may cause anginal pain to recur. If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor.
How long does it take for PCA 10mg Tablet to start working?
PCA 10mg Tablet starts working within about an hour of taking the medicine, but full benefits may be seen after 4 to 5 days.

Who should not use PCA 10mg Tablet?
People who are allergic to PCA 10mg Tablet or any of its ingredients should avoid using this medicine. Patients with heart problems such as cardiogenic shock, left ventricular failure with low filling pressure, cardiac decompensation, or a build-up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) should not use PCA 10mg Tablet. Additionally, patients taking medicines to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil) or medicines to treat pulmonary hypertension (e.g., riociguat) should not use the medication, as your blood pressure may be affected.
Can PCA 10mg Tablet affect my sex life?
No, PCA 10mg Tablet does not affect your sex life. However, it is not recommended to take medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil or tadalafil) or premature ejaculation (e.g., vardenafil or dapoxetine) while taking PCA 10mg Tablet, as taking them together can lead to a serious drop in your blood pressure.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. PCA 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol
Do not consume alcohol while taking PCA 10mg Tablet as that may cause increased dizziness.
Breastfeed

Pregnancy
