Oral Suspension
Paramp-DS Oral Suspension is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Paramp-DS Oral Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
Paramp-DS Oral Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.
Give Paramp-DS Oral Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Wait up to 6 hours between doses. Do not give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Paramp-DS Oral Suspension does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.
Always follow your doctor's instructions regarding dosage, frequency, and administration. The appropriate dose depends on the strength of the medication and your child's age. Consult your child’s doctor for specific guidance before use. Typically, the recommended dose is 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4 to 6 hours.
Paramp-DS Oral Suspension typically begins working within 30 to 60 minutes of administration, with peak effect observed within 3 to 4 hours. Improvement in symptoms may be noticeable after a few doses. However, if pain or fever persists beyond these periods, consult your child's doctor immediately.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Paramp-DS Oral Suspension, repeat the dose again. If it has been more than 30 minutes and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose and wait for the next scheduled dose time. In case of uncertainty, consult your doctor.
Yes, you may use this medication if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. However, it is crucial to consult your child's doctor first before administering the medicine.
If the fever doesn't improve after initial doses, it could indicate a possible infection (virus or bacteria). Consult your child's doctor for appropriate treatment.
Do not exceed four doses of Paramp-DS Oral Suspension in 24 hours. Ensure a minimum 4-6 hour interval between each dose. Avoid taking it for more than 3 days without consulting your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dosage can lead to toxicity and potentially life-threatening liver and kidney damage. If you suspect an overdose, immediately inform your doctor.
Unless your doctor recommends otherwise, your child should maintain a normal balanced diet throughout the duration of medication. This helps prevent potential medicinal toxicity.
Keep Paramp-DS Oral Suspension at room temperature in a dry place away from children's reach.
Use Paramp-DS Oral Suspension with caution if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or known medicinal allergies. Ensure to share your child's complete medical history with the doctor for a proper assessment.
Paramp-DS Oral Suspension does not generally interfere with the ingredients in vaccines or cause negative reactions in children who have just received one. However, it's advisable to wait for your child to recover fully from any ongoing illness before administering the vaccine, and if the child feels better, they can receive the vaccine.
