Key Information

Short Description

Paradyne-DMR Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of pain due to muscle spasms.

Dosage Form

Tablet

Introduction

Paradyne-DMR Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Directions for Use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Paradyne-DMR Tablet is to be taken with food.

How it works

Paradyne-DMR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Quick Tips

You have been prescribed Paradyne-DMR Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm. This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Paradyne-DMR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Paradyne-DMR Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.

Frequently asked questions

What is Paradyne-DMR Tablet?

Is Paradyne-DMR Tablet safe for me?

Paradyne-DMR Tablet is generally safe, but like all medicines it can cause side effects. Some people experience nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dryness in the mouth, weakness, and drowsiness. If these side effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor immediately.

Should I stop taking Paradyne-DMR Tablet once my pain is relieved?

It's important to continue taking Paradyne-DMR Tablet as prescribed by your healthcare professional for the recommended duration. You can discontinue the medication if you are using it for short-term pain relief.

Can Paradyne-DMR Tablet cause nausea and vomiting?

Yes, Paradyne-DMR Tablet may cause nausea and vomiting in some individuals. It is recommended to take this medication with food or milk and use antacids if you experience nausea. If vomiting occurs, drinking small amounts of water frequently is advised. Consult your doctor immediately if nausea or vomiting persists or you notice signs of dehydration such as dark urine, a low urine frequency, and fatigue.

Can Paradyne-DMR Tablet cause dizziness?
