Paracip 125mg Suspension is a widely prescribed medicine that helps to ease pain and bring down high body temperature (fever). In children, it treats conditions like headache, toothache, body ache, fever, and common cold.
Give Paracip 125mg Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Your child should not take more than four doses of this medicine in 24 hours, so wait up to 6 hours between doses. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects.
Paracip 125mg Suspension possesses analgesic (pain-reliever) and antipyretic (lowers body temperature) properties. It provides relief by blocking certain chemical messengers and pathways in the brain that send signals about pain and fever.
Give Paracip 125mg Suspension to your child with food or milk to prevent an upset stomach. Never give any other medicine formulation containing paracetamol along with this medicine as that may lead to serious side effects. Inform the doctor if your child has liver disease as the dose may need to be adjusted. If Paracip 125mg Suspension does not seem to be helping your child, contact your doctor for advice. Do not give extra doses.

Paracip 125mg Suspension usually starts working within 30 to 60 minutes of intake and shows its peak effect within 3 to 4 hours. Your child may start feeling better shortly after a few doses. If symptoms persist longer, consult your child's doctor immediately.
If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Paracip 125mg Suspension, repeat the dose. If it has been more than 30 minutes after taking Paracip 125mg Suspension and your child vomits, no need to repeat the dose and wait until it is time for the next dose. If unsure, consult your doctor.
You can administer this medicine if your child has a temperature of 38.3°C (101°F) or higher. It's crucial to consult your child's doctor first.
If the fever doesn't come down after the initial doses, it might be a sign of an infection (virus or bacteria). It's best to consult your child's doctor for specific treatment.
The recommended dosage is not exceeding four doses within 24 hours. Ensure a minimum 4-6 hour gap between each dose. Never administer this medicine for more than three days without first speaking to your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dosage can lead to liver and kidney toxicity. If you believe your child may have overdosed, inform your doctor immediately.
Unless instructed by your doctor, your child should eat a normal balanced diet while continuing this medication. A lack of nutrition can increase the risk of developing medicinal toxicity.
Paracip 125mg Suspension should be used with caution if your child has malnutrition, G6PD deficiency, liver disease, or any known medical allergies. Please inform your doctor about your child's complete medical history to help them make the best decision for your child’s safety.
Keep this medication at room temperature in a dry place, away from the reach of children.
It's recommended not to administer this medication with vaccines that can trigger fever. Studies indicate administering it together might reduce the efficacy of the vaccine.
