Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is a medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is a combination of two medicines: Levosulpiride and Pantoprazole.
What is the best time to take Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR?
Take one Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR on an empty stomach, as directed by your healthcare provider.
What are the contraindications associated with the use of Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR?
Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any component or excipient of this medicine.
Can the use of Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR cause dizziness?
Some patients taking Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR may experience dizziness, including feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded. If dizziness occurs, resting is recommended until symptoms subside.
Does the use of Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR lead to increased risk of fractures?
There is a possibility that long-term use (a year or longer) of high doses of Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures, particularly hip, wrist, and spine fractures. High dose refers to multiple daily doses.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is to be taken empty stomach.
- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea or stomach pain that does not go away.
- Do not consume alcohol while taking Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR as it can increase the risk of stomach damage.
- Long-term use may cause weak or broken bones. Take adequate intake of dietary calcium and vitamin D or their supplements. Do not take Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR for longer than prescribed.
Alcohol
Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Pregnancy
Pancov L 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
