Opar DM Capsule is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) by relieving the symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. Opar DM Capsule is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) by relieving the symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid in the stomach and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Opar DM Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Yes, Opar DM Capsule is generally considered safe for most patients. However, it may cause common side effects such as diarrhea, stomach pain, flatulence, dry mouth, dizziness, headache, and other rare and uncommon side effects. Yes, the use of Opar DM Capsule may increase the risk of irregular heartbeat (serious arrhythmias), although this risk is very low. The risk may be slightly higher in patients over 60 years of age. If you experience any irregular heartbeat or palpitations, consult your doctor.
Does the use of Opar DM Capsule lead to dry mouth?
Yes, the use of Opar DM Capsule can cause dry mouth due to the presence of Domperidone. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water throughout the day and keep some water by your bedside at night. Avoid smoking and reduce your intake of alcohol. Use an alcohol-free mouthwash to minimize the risk of tooth decay.
What is the recommended storage condition for Opar DM Capsule?
Store Opar DM Capsule in its original container, tightly closed. Follow the storage instructions provided on the pack or label. Dispose of any unused medicine and ensure it is not consumed by pets, children, or other individuals.
