It also helps treat vomiting that is caused as a side effect of medicines like painkillers.
During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, abdominal infection, or any major surgeries, the dead cells in the body start releasing a chemical called serotonin directly into the blood. Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Onzoset 2mg Syrup just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
What is Onzoset 2mg Syrup used for?
Onzoset 2mg Syrup is generally administered before major surgical procedures or chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. If your child is scheduled for these, the doctor may prescribe it to prevent vomiting post-procedure. It is also used to treat vomiting caused by stomach illnesses. In such cases, your child’s physician may prescribe Onzoset 2mg Syrup for several days. Adhere to the prescribed dosage for optimal results.
