During radiotherapy, chemotherapy, abdominal infection, or any major surgeries, the dead cells in the body start releasing a chemical called serotonin directly into the blood. Later, this stimulates special centers in the body that are responsible for inducing vomiting in your child. Giving Ondiman 2mg Oral Drops just before the procedure helps block the effect of this chemical on vomiting centers of the brain and prevents vomiting.
What is Ondiman 2mg Oral Drops used for?
Ondiman 2mg Oral Drops is generally prescribed before major surgery or chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions. In such cases, the doctor may ask you to administer it to your child to prevent post-procedural vomiting. It can also be effective in treating vomiting caused by stomach-related illnesses. The doctor will determine if Ondiman 2mg Oral Drops should be used for a few days based on your child’s condition.
What if my child takes too much Ondiman 2mg Oral Drops?
