How it works

Omnitil 5mg Tablet MD is a vestibular suppressant, i.e., it suppresses the vestibular apparatus in the inner ear by blocking the H1 receptor and stops vertigo. It acts within 30 minutes and therefore is effective during acute attacks. It also acts as a dopamine antagonist. Dopamine controls the region in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting and this medicine blocks the action of dopamine. Therefore, Omnitil 5mg Tablet MD shows an anti-nauseating and antiemetic action.

Direction of use

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Omnitil 5mg Tablet MD is to be taken with food.

Tips

• Omnitil 5mg Tablet MD is used for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting.
• May also be used to treat dizziness associated with problems of the inner ear such as Meniere’s Syndrome.
• May cause sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
• To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
• Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Omnitil 5mg Tablet MD as it may cause excessive drowsiness.
