Ofryth MZS 50mg/120mg/10mg Syrup is a combination antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections in children. It is given orally, preferably at a fixed time, and may be taken with or without food. Ofryth MZS 50mg/120mg/10mg Syrup is a combination of three active ingredients: ofloxacin, metronidazole, and simethicone. It is used to treat bacterial infections of the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract in children. Simethicone binds with gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem, aiding in the removal of gases and providing relief in stomach pain and bloating.
Ofryth MZS 50mg/120mg/10mg Syrup is a combination of three active ingredients. While two of its ingredients, namely ofloxacin and metronidazole, are antibiotics, simethicone is a gas-absorbing agent that improves gastric tolerability of the combination. The antibiotic ingredients interfere with the genetic material of bacteria by impairing its DNA. This kills the infection-causing bacteria, preventing its growth and stopping the infection. On the other hand, Simethicone binds with the gas bubbles produced as a result of the other two ingredients or as a result of some other problem. By doing so, it aids in the removal of gases and provides relief in stomach pain and bloating.
