Nupth 750mcg Injection is a man-made version of parathyroid hormone used to treat men and postmenopausal women who have severe osteoporosis with a high risk of fractures. Nupth 750mcg Injection is a synthetic form of a natural human hormone called parathyroid hormone (PTH). It works by increasing the number and activity of bone-forming cells (osteoblasts). This strengthens the bones and minimizes the risk of fractures.

Is Nupth 750mcg Injection a steroid?
Nupth 750mcg Injection is not a steroid. It is used for treating osteoporosis caused by long-term use of steroids. This medicine is primarily used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and men at increased fracture risk.
Can I take this medication for long-term osteoporosis?
Nupth 750mcg Injection should not be taken for longer than 2 years. It is crucial to inform your doctor if you have used this medication previously, as it should only receive a maximum treatment course of 24 months more than once in your lifetime.
How is Nupth 750mcg Injection stored at home?
Nupth 750mcg Injection should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of approximately 2°C to 8°C. It must not be frozen, as this could cause damage and reduce its effectiveness. Avoid placing Nupth 750mcg Injection pens near the ice compartment of the refrigerator.
Who should not use Nupth 750mcg Injection?
Your doctor will determine if you are eligible for treatment with Nupth 750mcg Injection. It's important to avoid this medication if you have certain conditions such as kidney impairment, Paget’s disease, bone cancers, or unexplained high serum calcium levels. It should also be avoided by children, young adults, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about any existing medical conditions and all medications being taken for proper therapy.

- Nupth 750mcg Injection should be injected every day under the skin (subcutaneous injection) of the thigh or abdomen.
- Do not take it for more than 2 years.
- You may have low blood pressure and dizziness during the initial few days.
- If you feel dizzy (light-headed) after injection, sit or lie down until you feel better.
- Tell your doctor immediately if you experience nausea, vomiting, constipation, low energy, or muscle weakness. These may be signs of high calcium levels in your blood.
- Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding, pregnant, or plan to become pregnant.
