Nikoran OD 20 Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat heart-related chest pain (angina). It is usually prescribed when other heart medicines are either not suitable or have not worked. Nikoran OD 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed whole with water. Take this medicine regularly and at about the same time(s) each day. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take it. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. Do not stop taking it without talking to our doctor as sudden withdrawal may cause your chest pain to come back. You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
Nikoran OD 20 Tablet is a vasodilator. It works by reducing the workload of the heart. As a result, heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply. It also relaxes coronary artery (that carries blood to heart). This reduces the frequency and severity of angina attacks.

Nikoran OD 20 Tablet belongs to the class of medicines known as potassium channel openers. It helps widen arteries, reducing the heart's workload and improving blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle. This medication is prescribed to patients with stable angina (heart-related chest pain) who cannot take other medications like beta-blockers or calcium channel antagonists.
Can I stop taking Nikoran OD 20 Tablet?
No, you should not stop taking Nikoran OD 20 Tablet without consulting your doctor first. Suddenly stopping this medication may lead to a recurrence of anginal pain. If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor.
How long does it take for Nikoran OD 20 Tablet to start working?

You should avoid taking Nikoran OD 20 Tablet and aspirin together. Taking both medications increases the risk of ulcers or bleeding in the mouth, stomach, or intestine. If you notice blood in your stool or vomit while using Nikoran OD 20 Tablet, consult your doctor immediately.
Who should not use Nikoran OD 20 Tablet?
People who are allergic to Nikoran OD 20 Tablet or any of its ingredients should avoid using this medicine. Patients with heart problems like cardiogenic shock, left ventricular failure with low filling pressure, cardiac decompensation, or a build-up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) should not use Nikoran OD 20 Tablet. Additionally, patients taking medications to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil) or pulmonary hypertension (e.g., riociguat) should not use this medication as it may affect their blood pressure.
Can Nikoran OD 20 Tablet affect my sex life?
Nikoran OD 20 Tablet does not directly affect your sex life. However, taking medications used to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil or tadalafil) or premature ejaculation (e.g., vardenafil or dapoxetine) while using Nikoran OD 20 Tablet can lead to a serious drop in blood pressure.
Use it as advised by your doctor or check the label for directions before use. Nikoran OD 20 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Nikoran OD 20 Tablet.
Breastfeed

Pregnancy
