Neurotab-NT Tablet is a combination medicine used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. This medicine decreases the pain by stopping the movement of pain signals to the brain. Neurotab-NT Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin and Nortriptyline. Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant which increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that stop the movement of pain signals in the brain. Together they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).

Can I stop taking Neurotab-NT Tablet when my pain is relieved?
No, you should not stop taking Neurotab-NT Tablet even if your pain is relieved. Continue to take it as advised by your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking Neurotab-NT Tablet, you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, sleeping difficulties, nausea, pain and sweating. It can also cause a decrease in satisfaction and discomfort during intercourse. If you experience these problems, discuss them with your doctor but do not stop taking Neurotab-NT Tablet.
Are there any serious side effects associated with the use of Neurotab-NT Tablet?
Serious side effects because of Neurotab-NT Tablet are uncommon and rare. If you notice any of the following, consult your doctor immediately: changes in body temperature (high or low), dizziness, difficulty breathing, double vision, slurred speech, diarrhea, confusion, blurred vision, unusual fatigue, or loss of coordination.
Is there anything I need to avoid while taking Neurotab-NT Tablet?
Neurotab-NT Tablet may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful while driving or while doing any activity that requires you to be alert.
