Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12 that restores its level in the body thereby helping in treating certain anemias and nerve problems. Vitamin B12 is important for growth, cell reproduction, blood formation, and protein and tissue synthesis. It also helps to treat anemia, fatigue, and numbness or tingling in the hands and feet.

What is Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection?
Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a role in releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
Why can’t I get sufficient vitamin B12 in my diet?
You can obtain vitamin B12 from sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. Individuals who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may have difficulty getting enough vitamin B12 as it is not naturally present in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is often observed in vegetarians and vegans.
What happens if I have vitamin B12 deficiency?
Vitamin B12 deficiency may lead to fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (an abnormal condition of red blood cells). Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe. However, in rare cases, side effects like nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash may occur. If a rash develops, discontinue use of the medication immediately.
How should Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection be given?
Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection can be administered intravenously or intramuscularly. The usual dose is one ampoule (0.5 mg of Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection) and is given three times per week. After two months, one ampoule (0.5 mg of Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection) should be given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
What precautions need to be taken while administering Neurolyten 2500mcg Injection?
When administering the injection, avoid injecting at the same site repeatedly. If there is intense pain during the injection or if blood flows back into the syringe, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different location.

Alcohol

Breastfeed
