Neurolife Forte Injection contains vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required by the body to make red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It's also important for releasing energy from food and using vitamin B11 (folic acid).
You can obtain vitamin B12 from sources like meat, fish, eggs, and dairy products. However, individuals who are vegetarian or vegan may not naturally acquire vitamin B12 as it is not naturally found in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Therefore, vitamin B12 deficiency is usually observed in vegetarians or vegans.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, and megaloblastic anemia (a condition where red blood cells become abnormally large). It might also cause nerve problems like numbness and tingling in the hands and feet. Other potential symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Neurolife Forte Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe for use. However, rare side effects may occur such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia (loss of appetite), and rash. If a rash develops, discontinue taking the medicine immediately.
Neurolife Forte Injection can be injected into a vein (intravenously) or muscle (intramuscularly). The usual dosage is 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Neurolife Forte Injection) and is given three times per week. After two months, 1 ampoule (0.5 mg of Neurolife Forte Injection) is given every one to three months as part of maintenance therapy.
Avoid injecting the medication at the same site repeatedly. If intense pain occurs during injection, remove the needle and re-insert it at a different location.
