Can I give Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops to my child continuously for more than 2 weeks if he has on and off nasal congestion?
Do not administer Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops to your child for more than 10 consecutive days as prolonged use may lead to complications such as "atrophic rhinitis". It is important to follow the prescribed dosing schedule and do not stop abruptly as this can cause "rebound congestion" in your child.
What if I accidentally give too much of Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops to my child by mistake?
An overdose of Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops can cause severe dizziness, perspiration, a decrease in body temperature, headaches, bradycardia (slow heart rate), high blood pressure, respiratory depression, coma, and convulsions. Children are more sensitive to toxicity than adults, so it is crucial to contact your child’s doctor immediately if an overdose occurs.
How should I use Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops in my child?
Before administering Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops, ensure your child's nose is clear by blowing gently. Then, lie your child down with their head slightly elevated (try tilting the head back). Open the medicine container cap and without touching the nozzle to the nose, apply one drop into each nostril. Ensure the child holds this position for a short time to allow the drops to spread throughout the nose. Replace the cap immediately after use. If the entire drop is not delivered, administer another drop to that same nostril. Clean and dry the nozzle before replacing the cap immediately after use. Remember to only use Nasko P 0.05% Nasal Drops by one person.
