Mycocel S 360mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant used to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ (e.g. kidney, heart, or liver) by weakening the body's immune system. Mycocel S 360mg Tablet is used to prevent rejection of a transplanted organ. It works by weakening the body's immune system, so it does not attack the transplanted organ. The amount of Mycocel S 360mg Tablet you take depends on the type of transplant you have. Follow your doctor's instructions on this. This medicine may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole, do not crush, chew, break, or open them. Take the medicine regularly to get the most benefit and keep taking it even if you feel well. If you stop taking it, you may increase the chances of rejecting your transplanted organ.

Can Mycocel S 360mg Tablet cause cancer?
Mycocel S 360mg Tablet might increase your risk of some cancers, such as skin cancer and lymphoma (cancer of the lymph system). When outdoors, avoid unnecessary or prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen to reduce sun risk. Call your doctor if you notice a new skin sore, bump, mole change (size or color), brown or black skin lesion (sore) with uneven edges, a sore that isn't healing well, unexplained fever, tiredness that doesn't go away, unexplained weight loss, or pain or swelling in the neck, groin, or armpits.
Is Mycocel S 360mg Tablet a steroid or a chemotherapy drug? Can it cause hair loss?
Mycocel S 360mg Tablet is neither a steroid nor a chemotherapy medicine. It's an immunosuppressant which means it weakens your immune system so your body won't reject the transplanted kidney from another person. Hair loss can be a common side effect of Mycocel S 360mg Tablet.
Do I need any special tests while taking Mycocel S 360mg Tablet?
Since Mycocel S 360mg Tablet can affect blood count and the kidneys and liver, your doctor may want to order a blood test before you start treatment. After starting treatment, regular blood tests will be required to monitor changes in your blood. My doctor has asked me to stay away from a person who has chicken pox or shingles. Why?
Mycocel S 360mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant, meaning it weakens your immune system. Since you're already on a weakened immune system due to the transplant and have not received the full dose of Mycocel S 360mg Tablet yet, if you come into contact with someone who has chicken pox or shingles, you could get sick too.
What precautions should a female follow while taking Mycocel S 360mg Tablet?
Do not take Mycocel S 360mg Tablet if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It's considered unsafe and can cause miscarriage (loss of pregnancy) during the first 3 months of pregnancy. It may also lead to birth defects in the baby, so always use a reliable form of contraception while on this medication.
What precautions should a male follow while taking Mycocel S 360mg Tablet?
During and after treatment, it's recommended that either the man or their partner uses reliable birth control methods. Men must not donate semen during the therapy or for 90 days following discontinuation of Mycocel S 360mg Tablet.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mycocel S 360mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- Take it with food to minimize possible side effects like nausea and stomach pain.
- It makes you more susceptible to getting infections. Avoid contact with people who have an infection and consult your doctor immediately if you develop a sore throat, high temperature or any other signs of infections.
- It may cause birth defects so birth control is required in females of reproductive age.
- Protect yourself from direct sunlight by wearing protective clothing and applying a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor (SPF).
- Your doctor may get regular blood tests done to monitor the levels of blood cells in your blood. Inform your doctor if you experience symptoms such as unexplained bruising or bleeding, sore throat, mouth ulcers, or fever.

Alcohol
Consuming alcohol with Mycocel S 360mg Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Breastfeed

Pregnancy
Mycocel S 360mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
