This medicine helps reduces mucus secretion in various lung diseases such as bronchitis, asthma, and emphysema. Mucomix Tablet can be taken with or without food but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water and drink it immediately. Take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. The most common side effects of this medicine include fever, nausea, vomiting, rash, and gastrointestinal discomfort. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. Generally, it is advised to drink plenty of fluids while on treatment with this medicine.
Mucomix Tablet is a mucolytic medication. It works by thinning the mucus (phlegm) making it easier to cough out. Thus, it clears the air passages and makes breathing easier. It also has antioxidant action.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mucomix Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
Consuming alcohol with Mucomix Tablet does not cause any harmful side effects.
Breastfeed
Mucomix Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Pregnancy
Mucomix Tablet is generally considered safe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effects to the developing baby; however, there are limited human studies.
