It is essential to take it at the same time each day to maintain a consistent level of medicine in the body. The medication must not be stopped suddenly without consulting a doctor. Common side effects include nausea, dry mouth, fatigue, hallucinations, constipation, and peripheral edema.
Mirator 1mg Tablet works by mimicking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger that is needed to control movement in the brain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Mirator 1mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
- You have been prescribed Mirator 1mg Tablet to treat your symptoms of Parkinson's disease and/or restless leg syndrome.
- Take it with or without food, and taking it with food may reduce nausea.
- For restless leg syndrome, take this medicine 2 to 3 hours before bedtime.
- Avoid activities that require you to be alert, such as driving a car, until you know how this medication affects you.
- Rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down to lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out.
Alcohol
Mirator 1mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Mirator 1mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
Mirator 1mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
