Migiplex 40mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines that helps in preventing migraine. This medicine is not used for treatment of acute migraine attack. Migiplex 40mg/10mg Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach, preferably at the same time every day, ideally at night. The dose and frequency depend on your condition and your doctor's prescription. Lifestyle modifications like avoiding stress, smoking, and processed food items may enhance the effectiveness of this medicine. Common side effects include weight gain, slow heart rate, tiredness, depression, drowsiness, and cold extremities. It may cause sleepiness, so avoid driving or activities requiring mental focus. Monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure regularly. Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, depression, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Also, disclose all other medications you are taking as they may affect the efficacy of this medicine.
Migiplex 40mg/10mg Tablet is a combination of Propranolol and Flunarizine. Propranolol is a beta blocker and Flunarizine is a calcium channel blocker. They work by stabilizing reactive nerve cells and increasing the threshold to migraine activation. They also inhibit cortical spreading depression (CSD), which are electric waves that move across the brain and cause pain and inflammation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Migiplex 40mg/10mg Tablet is to be taken on an empty stomach.
