Mifee Plus Syrup contains two active ingredients, Mefenamic acid and paracetamol, which belong to a common class of medicines known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It helps to lower body temperature (fever) and reduce pain and inflammation (redness and swelling) both in infants and children.
Mifee Plus Syrup contains Mefenamic acid and paracetamol as its active ingredients. Both these ingredients are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). How much Mifee Plus Syrup should I give to my child?
Your doctor will prescribe the dose based on your child's condition and body weight. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule as this is the best way to ensure safe and complete recovery.
Can I change the dose of Mifee Plus Syrup for my child by myself according to the severity of illness?
No, it is not recommended to adjust the dosage without consulting a doctor. While an unnecessary increase in dose may lead to toxicity, sudden lowering may cause symptoms to return. Always speak with your child's doctor if you think a change in dose may be needed.
Can all children be given the same dose of Mifee Plus Syrup?
No. Mifee Plus Syrup cannot be given to everyone in the same dosage. The doctor decides the appropriate dose based on your child's age and body weight. Since the dose changes unpredictably, never give any dose of this medicine to anyone without consulting a doctor. Follow your doctor’s instructions for best results.
When will my child feel better?
The doctor may advise you to continue giving Mifee Plus Syrup to your child for a few days to weeks, depending on the severity of the illness. You'll notice that the pain or fever will decrease and your child will start feeling better gradually as the course progresses. If your child continues to feel unwell even after completion of the full prescribed course, consult your doctor as soon as possible.
Are there any serious side effects of this medicine for my child?
Mifee Plus Syrup is generally well-tolerated by most children. However, if your child experiences any severe or unexpected symptoms like persistent vomiting, body swelling, decreased urine frequency, an allergic reaction, or severe pain due to gastric ulcers, contact your doctor immediately.
How should I store Mifee Plus Syrup?
Store Mifee Plus Syrup at room temperature in a dry place away from direct heat and light. Keep medicines out of reach of children.
My child is taking Mifee Plus Syrup for toothache and now has to undergo an extraction procedure. Should I continue giving Mifee Plus Syrup?
For at least 3 to 5 days before a surgical procedure, withhold Mifee Plus Syrup to prevent excessive bleeding. If you are unsure about the best course of action, please consult your child’s doctor.
Can other medicines be given at the same time as Mifee Plus Syrup?
Mifee Plus Syrup can sometimes interact with other medications or substances. Tell your doctor about any other medications your child is taking before starting Mifee Plus Syrup. You should also check with your child's doctor before giving any medicine to your child.
Maintain a log of your child's temperature. If you do not see any improvement, contact your child's doctor for advice. Keep a track of the dose and the frequency in which you have given this medicine to your child. This will help prevent overdosing.
