This medication improves blood glucose levels in adults when used with proper diet and exercise. Glimepiride lowers blood glucose by increasing insulin release from the pancreas. Metformin reduces glucose production from the liver and enhances insulin sensitivity. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor, lowering postprandial (after meal) glucose levels. This medication is not suitable for Type 1 DM treatment.
