Metrohex Plus + Gel is used to treat mouth ulcers and sores. Metrohex Plus + Gel is used to treat mouth ulcers and sores. It works by reducing pain and inflammation and killing bacteria that cause infections.
Metrohex Plus + Gel is a combination of two medicines: Lidocaine and Chlorhexidine Gluconate. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain, thereby decreasing the sensation of pain. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant that works by killing bacteria and other microorganisms.
