Medolix 1500mcg Injection is a form of vitamin B12, an essential nutrient that helps produce red blood cells and maintain a healthy nervous system. It also plays a crucial role in releasing energy from food and utilizing vitamin B11 (folic acid).
People who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet may be at risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, as this nutrient is not naturally found in plant-based foods such as fruits, vegetables, and grains.
A deficiency in vitamin B12 can lead to symptoms such as tiredness, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, weight loss, megaloblastic anemia (abnormally large red blood cells), and nerve problems like numbness or tingling in the hands and feet. Other possible symptoms include balance issues, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue.
Medolix 1500mcg Injection is generally well-tolerated and considered safe for use. However, rare side effects may occur in some individuals, such as nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, or rash. If a rash appears, discontinue the medication immediately.
This injection can be given intravenously (directly into a vein) or intramuscularly (into a muscle).
