Medeptal 150mg Tablet is used to treat and prevent epilepsy (seizures). It helps control seizures but does not cure epilepsy. Medeptal 150mg Tablet may be used alone or in combination with other medicines to control seizures. The dosage is determined by your doctor and may be increased gradually. It can be taken with or without food but should be taken at the same time each day. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tiredness, drowsiness, unsteadiness, and low sodium levels in the blood. Serious side effects like skin rash or redness should be reported to a doctor immediately. Long-term use may lead to osteoporosis and an increased risk of fractures. It may also cause suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Consult your doctor if you have heart, kidney, or liver problems, difficulty urinating, depression, or suicidal thoughts. Avoid alcohol as it can increase side effects and the risk of seizures. Frequent blood tests may be required to ensure the correct dosage.

Alcohol
Medeptal 150mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Medeptal 150mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into breastmilk and harm the baby. The baby should be monitored for excessive sleepiness and weight gain.
Pregnancy
Medeptal 150mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Limited studies in humans and animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.
