Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet is a prescription medication designed to treat neuropathic pain. It works by modulating the calcium channel activity of nerve cells, thereby decreasing pain. Additionally, it protects nerve fibers and helps heal damaged nerve cells. While the side effects are generally mild and temporary, it may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Patients are advised not to drive or engage in activities requiring concentration until they understand how the medication affects them. Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Methylcobalamin and Pregabalin. Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B which helps in the production of myelin, a substance that protects nerve fibers and rejuvenates damaged nerve cells. Pregabalin is an alpha 2 delta ligand which decreases the pain by modulating calcium channel activity of the nerve cells. Together, they relieve neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush, or break it. Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

- Its side effects are usually mild and temporary.
- It may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
- To lower the chances of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet as it may cause excessive sleepiness.
- Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts or behavior.

Alcohol
Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
Breastfeed
Mecophen PG 750mcg/75mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
