What is Levokof Syrup?
Levokof Syrup is a combination of Ambroxol, Levosalbutamol/Levalbuterol, and Guaifenesin. It's prescribed for cough with mucus. Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic, thinning and loosening the mucus to facilitate easier coughing. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, widening them. Guaifenesin functions as an expectorant by reducing the stickiness of mucus, aiding its removal from airways.

However, some may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, allergic reactions, dizziness, headache, rash, urticaria, tremor, palpitations, muscle cramps, and increased heart rate. If you experience persistent issues while taking the medicine, consult your doctor.

Levokof Syrup is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to any of its active or inactive ingredients. Combining Levosalbutamol and beta-blockers like propranolol should be avoided.

Yes, Levokof Syrup can trigger diarrhea. In case of diarrhea, drink plenty of fluids.
