It also lowers the chances of having a heart attack or stroke. Lepril 2.5mg Tablet can be prescribed either alone or in combination with other medicines. It should be taken on an empty stomach. This medicine should be taken at the same time each day to get the most benefit. It is important to continue taking it regularly even if you feel well or even if your blood pressure is controlled. Most people with high blood pressure do not feel ill but if you stop taking this medicine your condition could get worse. This is a widely used medicine and is considered safe for long-term use.

If you face any such issues, contact your doctor, who may advise discontinuing hydrochlorothiazide or reducing the dose. They may also suggest using Lepril 2.5mg Tablet in very low doses when combined with hydrochlorothiazide.
I am taking ibuprofen for arthritis, is it safe to take Lepril 2.5mg Tablet along with it?
It's best to avoid taking ibuprofen and Lepril 2.5mg Tablet together as this can increase the risk of kidney damage. Also, this combination may reduce the effectiveness of Lepril 2.5mg Tablet. Please consult your doctor for an alternative to ibuprofen.

Breastfeed
Lepril 2.5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby. Use of Lepril 2.5mg Tablet immediately after childbirth should be avoided.
Pregnancy
Lepril 2.5mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
