Lamez 50 Tablet DT is an anti-epileptic medication used to treat epilepsy and bipolar disorder. It works by blocking signals in the brain that trigger seizures and preventing extreme mood swings. Lamez 50 Tablet DT can be used alone or in combination with other medicines. It may be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. This may increase gradually until your condition is stable. This medicine may take several weeks to work but it is important to take it regularly to get the maximum benefit. Do not stop taking it even if you feel fine unless your doctor advises you to. You may have more seizures or your bipolar disorder may get worse.

I started Lamez 50 Tablet DT and developed a rash. The doctor stopped Lamez 50 Tablet DT immediately and prescribed another medicine. Why?
Serious skin rashes have been reported in some patients after starting Lamez 50 Tablet DT within the first 8 weeks, sometimes leading to severe skin infections that can endanger the patient's life. Therefore, if a rash develops after starting Lamez 50 Tablet DT, it should be stopped immediately and not restarted. Stopping use of Lamez 50 Tablet DT, even with mild or non-serious rashes, is recommended due to this risk. Your doctor switched medications to mitigate these risks.

I have symptoms of depression. Can I take Lamez 50 Tablet DT?
Yes, you can take Lamez 50 Tablet DT if you experience symptoms of depression. It is commonly prescribed for preventing depression. However, do not self-medicate or change your dosage without consulting with your doctor.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Lamez 50 Tablet DT may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
