Lactifiber Granules is a combination of lactitol monohydrate and ispaghula. Lactitol monohydrate works by increasing peristalsis (contractions) in the colon leading to an increase in the number of bowel movements. Ispaghula Husk works by absorbing water and increasing stool volume making it softer and easier to pass out.
How should Lactifiber Granules be taken?
Take Lactifiber Granules exactly as your doctor tells you to or as directed on the package. Pour a scoop of granules (15g) into a glass of water (about 150 ml), stir well, and then drink the liquid as soon as possible.
Are there any contraindications for using Lactifiber Granules?
Lactifiber Granules may not be suitable for patients with known allergies to any of its components or excipients. Its use is also advised against in individuals with chronic constipation or intestinal obstruction.
