K-Cor 10 Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat heart-related chest pain (angina). It is usually prescribed when other heart medicines are either not suitable or have not worked. K-Cor 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed whole with water. Take this medicine regularly and at about the same time(s) each day. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take it. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. Do not stop taking it without talking to our doctor as sudden withdrawal may cause your chest pain to come back. You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
K-Cor 10 Tablet is a vasodilator. It works by reducing the workload of the heart. As a result, heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply. It also relaxes coronary artery (that carries blood to heart). This reduces the frequency and severity of angina attacks.
What class of drug is K-Cor 10 Tablet and what is it used for?
K-Cor 10 Tablet belongs to a class of medicines known as 'potassium channel openers', which helps to widen the arteries, decrease the workload of the heart, and improve blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle. It is primarily prescribed for patients with stable angina who are unable to take other medicines for angina.
Can I stop taking K-Cor 10 Tablet?
No, it is not recommended to stop taking K-Cor 10 Tablet without consulting your doctor first. Stopping the medication abruptly may cause your anginal pain to recur. If you are experiencing any side effects, speak to your doctor for guidance.
How long does it take K-Cor 10 Tablet to start working?

Can K-Cor 10 Tablet affect my sex life?
K-Cor 10 Tablet does not affect your sex life. However, it is not recommended to take medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil or tadalafil) or premature ejaculation (e.g., vardenafil or dapoxetine) while taking K-Cor 10 Tablet, as this combination may lead to a serious drop in blood pressure.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. K-Cor 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with K-Cor 10 Tablet.
Breastfeed
