K-Cor 10 Tablet is a medicine used to prevent and treat heart-related chest pain (angina). It is usually prescribed when other heart medicines are either not suitable or have not worked. K-Cor 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food. It should be swallowed whole with water. Take this medicine regularly and at about the same time(s) each day. Your doctor will decide the dose and how often you should take it. This may change from time to time depending on how well it is working. Do not stop taking it without talking to our doctor as sudden withdrawal may cause your chest pain to come back. You can improve the health of your heart by making some lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, cutting down on alcohol, eating well, exercising regularly, and managing stress.
K-Cor 10 Tablet is a vasodilator. It works by reducing the workload of the heart. As a result, heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply. It also relaxes coronary artery (that carries blood to heart). This reduces the frequency and severity of angina attacks.
What class of drug is K-Cor 10 Tablet and what is it used for?
K-Cor 10 Tablet belongs to a class of medicines known as 'potassium channel openers', which helps to widen the arteries, decrease the workload of the heart, and improve blood and oxygen supply to the heart muscle. It is primarily prescribed for patients with stable angina who are unable to take other medicines for angina.
Can I stop taking K-Cor 10 Tablet?
No, it is not recommended to stop taking K-Cor 10 Tablet without consulting your doctor first. Stopping the medication abruptly may cause your anginal pain to recur. If you are experiencing any side effects, speak to your doctor for guidance.
How long does it take K-Cor 10 Tablet to start working?
K-Cor 10 Tablet typically starts working within an hour of taking the medication, but full benefits may be seen only after 4 to 5 days.
For how long do I need to continue K-Cor 10 Tablet?
You should continue taking K-Cor 10 Tablet for as long as your doctor recommends. This medication is often prescribed for long-term use, and you may need to take it for the rest of your life.
What if somebody accidentally takes excess of K-Cor 10 Tablet?
If someone accidentally takes an excessive dose of K-Cor 10 Tablet, they should be taken to the hospital immediately. Symptoms of low blood pressure, such as feeling weak or dizzy, may occur, as well as irregular or fast heartbeats.
Can I take K-Cor 10 Tablet if I am taking aspirin?

Furthermore, patients taking medicines for erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil, tadalafil, and vardenafil) or pulmonary hypertension (e.g., riociguat) should not use K-Cor 10 Tablet, as it may affect their blood pressure.
Can K-Cor 10 Tablet affect my sex life?
K-Cor 10 Tablet does not affect your sex life. However, it is not recommended to take medicines used to treat erectile dysfunction (e.g., sildenafil or tadalafil) or premature ejaculation (e.g., vardenafil or dapoxetine) while taking K-Cor 10 Tablet, as this combination may lead to a serious drop in blood pressure.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. K-Cor 10 Tablet may be taken with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
- You must continue to take it as advised

- K-Cor 10 Tablet may cause headaches. Drink plenty of water and take a suitable painkiller. Inform your doctor if it does not go away.
- K-Cor 10 Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything which requires concentration until you know how it affects you.
- Do not consume alcohol while taking K-Cor 10 Tablet as that may cause increased dizziness.
- Do not take medications like sildenafil or tadalafil (prescribed for erectile dysfunction) while on treatment with K-Cor 10 Tablet as it may cause low blood pressure.
- Inform your doctor if you notice any bleeding from the anal passage, blood in vomit or black stools.

Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with K-Cor 10 Tablet.
Breastfeed
K-Cor 10 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Pregnancy
K-Cor 10 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.
