Isozole- DSR Capsule is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and indigestion by relieving the symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. Isozole- DSR Capsule is a prescription medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux) and indigestion by relieving the symptoms such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid in the stomach and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Isozole- DSR Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Esomeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.
What is Isozole- DSR Capsule?
Isozole-DSR Capsule contains two active ingredients: Domperidone and Esomeprazole. This combination is used to treat heartburn, acid reflux disease (GERD), and stomach or duodenal ulcers. Domperidone helps control vomiting by increasing the movement of food through the gut.
Is Isozole- DSR Capsule safe to use?
Isozole-DSR Capsule is generally considered safe for most individuals. However, it may cause common side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, flatulence, dry mouth, dizziness, and headache. If you experience persistent or severe problems while taking this medication, consult your doctor.
What is the best time to take Isozole- DSR Capsule?
It's best to take Isozole-DSR Capsule before eating or on an empty stomach.
Can the use of Isozole- DSR Capsule cause abnormal heartbeat?
Yes, Isozole-DSR Capsule may increase the risk of irregular heartbeats (serious arrhythmias). This is a serious side effect but its likelihood is relatively low. The risk might be slightly higher in individuals over 60 years old.
What are the contraindications associated with the use of Isozole- DSR Capsule?
Isozole-DSR Capsule should not be used by individuals with known hypersensitivity to rabeprazole or domperidone, or any other inactive ingredients in the medication. Caution is advised for those with underlying kidney or liver conditions.
Can Isozole- DSR Capsule cause dry mouth?
Yes, Isozole-DSR Capsule can cause dry mouth. This is due to domperidone. To alleviate dry mouth, ensure you drink adequate amounts of water throughout the day and keep some water at your bedside. Avoid alcohol consumption, smoking, and using alcohol-containing mouthwashes to reduce risk of tooth decay.
Can Isozole- DSR Capsule cause diarrhea?
Yes, Isozole-DSR Capsule can cause diarrhea. If you experience diarrhoea, consume plenty of fluids and seek medical advice if it persists or if you notice signs of dehydration like reduced urine frequency and dark or strong-smelling urine.
What are the storage conditions for Isozole- DSR Capsule?
Keep this medication in its original container, tightly sealed. Store it according to the instructions on the package label, and do not consume leftover medicine or give it to pets or children.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Isozole- DSR Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
- Take it one hour before the meal

- Inform your doctor if you get watery diarrhea, fever or stomach pain that does not go away
- Inform your doctor if you do not feel better after taking it for 14 days as you may be suffering from some other problem that needs attention
- Long-term use can cause weak bones and deficiency of minerals such as magnesium. Take adequate dietary intake of calcium and magnesium or their supplements as prescribed by your doctor.
