Isomet-M Nasal Spray is a medicine used to prevent and treat allergic symptoms like sneezing and runny nose due to allergies, nasal congestion, and nasal polyps. You should always use Isomet-M Nasal Spray as advised by your doctor. To get the full benefit of the medicine you should take it regularly. Blow your nose gently before using it, keep one nostril closed while applying the medicine into the other, and then sniff hard to make sure it reaches deep into the nose. Repeat for the other nostril. The most common side effects of this medicine include nasal irritation, sore throat, wheezing, nosebleed, upper respiratory tract infection, viral infections, and vomiting.
Isomet-M Nasal Spray is a steroid. It gets absorbed into the cells of the inner surface of the nose and works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) and allergies. This relieves blocked or runny nose, sneezing and sinus discomfort, and other symptoms caused by nasal congestion and nasal polyps.

What if I miss a dose of Isomet-M Nasal Spray?
If you miss a dose of Isomet-M Nasal Spray, use it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, take the missed dose in your regular schedule instead of double dosing to compensate. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.
Is Isomet-M Nasal Spray an antifungal, antibiotic, or a steroid?
Isomet-M Nasal Spray is not an antifungal nor an antibiotic. It is a corticosteroid which helps reduce inflammation (redness and swelling) in various conditions.
How effective is Isomet-M Nasal Spray?

Is Isomet-M Nasal Spray effective for my child? Can I extend the treatment a little longer?
For children, it's important to follow the prescribed dose and duration of treatment with Isomet-M Nasal Spray as advised by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dosage or extend the treatment beyond what is prescribed, as this could potentially disrupt hormonal balance in your child. This may result in symptoms like puffiness, facial rounding, delayed growth and development, and other issues.
Use this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril. Direct the spray towards the sides of your nostril away from the cartilage dividing the two sides of your nose. As you spray, breathe gently and keep the head upright. Repeat the same process for the other nostrils.
