Indard-DMR Tablet is a combination of a muscle relaxant (Chlorzoxazone) and two pain relieving medicines (Diclofenac and Paracetamol). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm, thereby improving movement of muscles. The pain relieving medicines work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
You have been prescribed Indard-DMR Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm. This medicine is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Indard-DMR Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling as a result of taking Indard-DMR Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.
Indard-DMR Tablet contains Diclofenac, Paracetamol, and Chlorzoxazone. This combination provides relief for muscle pain. Chlorzoxazone acts on the central nervous system as a muscle relaxant. Diclofenac and Paracetamol work by reducing prostaglandins in the body, which causes pain and inflammation.
Indard-DMR Tablet is generally safe for most patients. However, potential side effects include nausea, vomiting, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, weakness, drowsiness and other rare or uncommon side effects. Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any persistent problems.
You should continue Indard-DMR Tablet only as prescribed by your doctor for a specific duration. In case of short-term pain relief, the medication can be discontinued.
Yes, you can take Indard-DMR Tablet with milk, food, or antacids to help mitigate symptoms of nausea. Avoid fatty or fried foods while taking this medication. If vomiting occurs, drink plenty of water or fluids in small, frequent sips. Consult your doctor if vomiting persists and you exhibit signs of dehydration, such as dark urine, strong-smelling urine, or low urination frequency.
Yes, Indard-DMR Tablet may cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady, or lightheaded) in some individuals. If you experience dizziness or lightheadedness, rest and resume once feeling better.
Long-term use of Indard-DMR Tablet can potentially harm the kidneys. This is because normal kidneys produce prostaglandins to protect them from damage. Painkillers lower these prostaglandins, which can lead to kidney problems with long-term usage. It's not recommended for patients with pre-existing kidney conditions to take this medication.
Taking a higher dose than the prescribed amount can increase the chances of experiencing side effects. If your pain is more intense or not relieved by the recommended dosage, consult your doctor to reevaluate your treatment.
Store Indard-DMR Tablet in its original container or packaging, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions on the label provided with the medication. Do not dispose of unused medication. It is important not to consume this medicine by pets, children, or other individuals.
